Evoq is a peer-to-peer based lending optimizer that works with existing pool-based protocols to provide both suppliers and borrowers with better rates. This quick guide will show you how to use Evoq and give best practices tips so you can maximize your capital.

Currently, Evoq is part of the BNB Chain ecosystem, available on BNB Smart Chain via Venus Protocol. You will need to hold assets compatible with BNB Smart Chain to interact with the platform. The initial assets supported are: BNB, BTCB, USDT, USDC, ETH, and FDUSD.

The Basics

After connecting your wallet, if you click on [Dashboard], you'll see your current stats. You'll need to supply an asset first to use the platform. Seems like there aren't any transactions yet, so let's get started and click on [Go to Market]. You'll go to the page that's titled "Markets."

Next, you can choose an asset on the Market page by clicking on the asset name or [Details]. We’ll choose BNB in this example:

From here, you can view the BNB dashboard as well as options to [Supply], [Withdraw], [Borrow] or [Repay] BNB.

Things to Note

Let's go through some details about the [Supply], [Withdraw], [Borrow] and [Repay] section:

  • You are able to borrow a percentage of the value you supplied depending on the asset. If you go over the threshold when entering a borrow amount, the bottom bar will turn red and the button will remained disabled:

  • As long as you remain with in the threshold, you'll be able to move forward with the transaction:

Saving on Gas (using MetaMask)

When using MetaMask, we recommend the following to save on gas: set your ‘Max base fee’ and ‘Priority Fee’ to 1. You can do this by clicking on the blue pencil icon next to ‘Network fee.’

Then in the ‘Edit gas fee’ page, click on the ‘Advanced gas fee’ option and then in the next window, change the ‘Max base fee rate’ and ‘Priority Fee’ to ‘1.’ And then check the box to save the values. It should look like this:

Now you can save some gas fees! Here's an example of the same transaction request before and after this tip has been applied:
